Everyone! Come eat and enjoy traditional Jamaican/American dishes prepared by the most Incredible Edible entertainer and food snob Akynos. Experience Blackness through food, laughter, conversation and social distancing. This immersive experience is open to all races, colors and creeds.
In this cookout, we will practice and use one of the most important collaborative social practices of meeting, sharing and exchanging: eating food together. Hosted by the Incredible Edible Akynos, the event is conceived as a special experience. Be prepared to be unprepared.
The meals have been prepared with the utmost care and detail. Akynos had her favorite Jamaican spices shipped from the US. Coordinated with family for specific Jamaican recipes. She hunted out the right cheeses and traditional Black recipes to make this food delicious.
The menu will consist of: Jamaican rice and peas, Jerk chicken wings, Macaroni and cheese, Steamed cabbage, Cornbread and other surprises.
